Estill Miss Eva Eunice Estill, 96, retired longtime Educator, died at 7:55 a.m. on Wednesday in the Heritage Villa Nursing Center. Funeral services for Miss Estill will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in the Sanctuary of the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church. The Rev. Ralph O. Dershem will be the officiant. Committal prayers and interment will be directed in the Memorial Park Cemetery by The Arnold Moore Funeral Service. A native of Utica, Bryan County, Oklahoma, Eva Eunice Estill was born on October 3, 1906. She was the daughter of the late George Riley and Carrie Olena (Woods) Estill. During her childhood, she moved with her family members to Ada, Okla. where she was reared and received her education. She was graduated with the Senior Class of 1924 from the Ada High School. She continued her education and was a student at East Central State Teachers College at Ada from which she was graduated with her Degree in Education in 1929. She began her teaching career at Stonewall, Okla. and came to Osage County in 1937 where she taught in the Barnsdall schools until coming to Bartlesville in 1945. She began teaching in the local school system at the old Labadie Heights School which is now known as the Osage Hills School where she was made principal. Miss Estill was retired in 1971 and since that time has continued living in Bartlesville in retirement. For many years, Miss Estill served many families in child care. Miss Estill was a member of the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church and was a longtime adult Sunday School teacher; the Oklahoma Education Association; the National Education Association and the Osage County; Classroom Teachers Association.
