Foote, 75, Durant, who died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at Four Seasons Nursing Home. ========= Monday, November 17, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Billy Foote, 75 A service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Chapel for Billy Foote, 75, Durant, who died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at Four Seasons Nursing Home. The Rev. Stanley Farrar will officiate. He was born Thursday, Aug. 9, 1928, in Stacke, to James Elbert and Viva (Allen) Foote. He married Maudie Hutchinson July 3, 1954, in Atoka. After school, he joined the U.S. Army, receiving a Purple Heart while serving his country during the Korean War. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans. He loved hunting and fishing. As a farmer, he enjoyed working with his cows and working the land. He was preceded indeath by his father April 1, 1993; mother March 30, 1965; wife Dec. 13, 1992; and brothers J.W. Foote during World War II and Jo Edward Foote as a child. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery with pallbearers Buddy Ray Argo, Jim Argo, Scott Argo, Darrell Smith, Eddie Boyd, Wade Boyd, Tony Trammell and Brad Davis. Family hour is 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
