All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat - 11 Oct 2004 Lester Leon Fulcher, 85 A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Chapel for Lester Leon Fulcher, 85, Durant, who died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas. Brad Jones will officiate. The son of Robert Lee and Nettie (Johnson) Fulcher, he was born Monday, Jan. 20, 1919, in Bryan County. He married LaVerne Odem May 15, 1975, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a welder, who enjoyed welding, playing guitar and making things with his hands. He was in the Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Homer, Robert and Stanley Fulcher; and sister, Irma Dobbs. He is survived by his wife, of the home; daughter, Drenda Messer and husband Alan, Longmont, Colo.; sons, David Odem, Durant, Jim Odem and wife Debbie, Corpus Christi; sisters, Velma Burns, Durant, Alma Burns, Bokchito, Olga Lilley, Durant, Agnes Simmons and husband Will Lee, Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
