Giles Sherman Democrat: October 21, 1959, Page 2 Denison - Funeral service will be held 2:30 pm Thursday in Bratcher Funeral Chapel for Oscar E. Giles, 46, of Denison, who died in a hospital here Tuesday after a long illness. The Rev. Ernest Potter, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church will conduct the services. Burial will be in Cederlawn Memorial Park. The family will abet the funeral chapel from 8 to 9 pm Wednesday. Mr. Giles was born Septimeber 30, 1913, in Colbert, Okla., a son of Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Giles. Mr. Giles was a member of the Baptist Church, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Masonic Lodge and Knights Templar. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors besides his parents are a half brother, W. L. Giles of Colbert; two sisters, Mrs J.T. Bush, and Mrs. Arthur Dawson, both of Denison; one step-sister, Mrs C.O. Hopper of Dallas; and six half-sisters, Mrs. Danny Korbelic of Twin Oaks, Mich., Mrs. Charles Baecht of Denison, Mrs. Charles Barkley and Mrs. Winston Hannan, both of Colbert, Mrs. Phil Ciaccio of Fort Worth, and Mrs. Thomas Garvin of Elmore City, Oklahoma.
