Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery, Sherman, Texas. Family hour is 3-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling arrangements. =========== Durant Daily Democrat Sunday, March 7, 2004 Virginia ‘Ginny’ Hicks, 78 A service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Coffey-Murray Chapel for Virginia ‘Ginny’ Hicks, 78, Mead, who died Thursday, March 4, 2004, in Mead. The Rev. Dan McLemore will officiate. Hicks was born March 1, 1926, in Trinton Area, Texas, to Rufus and Edna Wade. She married Lee Hicks March 12, 1981, in Kimberling City, Mo. Hicks was an accounting clerk with Hinderlighter Tool Co. She was of the Baptist faith and loved to work crossword puzzles, cryptoquotes, and loved traveling, especially in Arkansas and Missouri. She loved to go to Carthage, Mo., visiting the Precious Memories Village. Hicks was preceded in death by her parents; son Ricky Wade Stephens in 1987; sisters Beulah Kidd and Mary Joe Smith. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery, Sherman, Texas, with pallbearers Jeffery Stephens, A. G. Alexander, Jessie Quarles, Bob Cooper, N. H. Daniel and Trey Daniel. Family hour will be 3-4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
