Services are pending with Brown's Funeral Service for Billy S. Hedgecock, 55, Durant, who passed away Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. ========= Durant Daily Democrat 16 Feb 2005 Billy "Hedge" Hedgecock, 55 A graveside service for Billy "Hedge" Hedgecock, 55, Durant, who passed away Friday, February 11, 2005, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2005, at 2:00 p.m., at Silo Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Waldrep will officiate. Hedge was born September 10, 1949, to James Authur Hedgecock and Jewel Marrie Sinabaugh. He lived in Oklahoma all of his life and attended Lone Oak Schools. Hedge worked for the City of Durant in the Sanitation Department. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and he enjoyed fishing. Hedge will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jack, William, and Bud; and sister Barbara Jean. Hedge is survived by daughter Jenifer Hedgecock of Durant; brothers Shelby Hedgecock and wife Georgia of Sulphur, Ok., and Pete Hedgecock and wife Mary Jo of Brownsville, Texas; sisters Ulabelle of Colorado, Cora Hedgecock of Tulsa, Ok., and Opal Olean McMichaels of Irving, Texas; grandchildren Erica and Joseph Puentes, both of Durant; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Family hour will be today from 7 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Silo Cemetery with James Hendricks, Royce Junior Hendricks, Benny Smith, Jimmy Long and Michael Puentes serving as pallbearers.
