Thursday, October 9, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Elmer Hudgens, 79 Services are pending with Cunningham’s Caddo Funeral Home for Elmer Hudgens, 79, Caddo, who died today at his residence. =========== Sunday, October 12, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Elmer Lee Hudgens, 79 A service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Cunningham Funeral Chapel, Caddo, for Elmer Lee Hudgens, 79, Caddo, who died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at his residence. Chaplain Jeff Davis of Royal Crest Hospice, Durant, will officiate. He was born June 28, 1924, in Mannsville, to Alfred Giles and Katie Eva Hudgens. He attended Russett schools. He married Vivian Imogene Parrish Dec. 18, 1945, in Headrick. He lived in Dallas, Texas from 1959 to 1982, where he worked as a pipe threader for Southern Nipple and a darkroom x- ray technician for Parkland Hospital. He retired and moved to Matoy, where he lived for several years prior to moving to Caddo. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Caddo, with pallbearers Mike Baxter, Jimmy Vermillion, Ronnie Marshall, Jim Brady Williams, Cody Williams and Marvin Williams. Visitation is noon-2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
