The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scott John Madison Headrick's Obituary-Jan 23, 1943 Headrick, John Madison, aged 84, died at the family home Northeast of Durant Tuesday.  The deceased was born in Murray County, Georgia on March 29, 1859.  Funeral service set for Wednesday at the Pleasant Hill School House, with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cenetery.  Surviving are his widow, one son, seven daughters, sixteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.  Surviving Mr. Headrick are his widow, one son,  Ben Headrick of Caddo and seven daughters:  Mrs Dovie Ledford of Bokchito,  Mrs Altha Burns of Sand Springs,  Miss Claudia Headrick of Durant,  Mrs Opal Head of Durant, Mrs Ida Mantooth of Dallas,  Mrs Cora Harris of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Mrs Fannie Ledford of Durant.  Pallbearers were Jess Argo,  Will Haggerty, Ben Russell, Will Mantooth, Gim Russell, and Claude White.
