    Haney, Benjamin Carthen - 76

    Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Mead Cemetery for Benjamin 
    Carthen Haney, 76, Durant, who died Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at his residence. 
    Darel Bunch will officiate.

    Mr. Haney was born May 16, 1923, in Rosebud, Ark., to George Washington 
    Haney and Valley (Townsen) Haney. He married Dixie Mae in Yuba, Ariz. He 
    came to Durant five years ago from Denair, Calif., and was a member of the 
    Calvary Baptist Church. He was also known as Lee's Dad, from Lee's Place. 

    He was preceded in death by his wife Aug. 31, 1995. 

    Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
