Friday, November 28, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Della Mae Hanna, 76 Services are pending with Coffey-Murray Funeral Home for Della Mae Hanna, 76, Durant, who died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at her residence. ============= Sunday, November 30, 2003 Tuesday, December 2, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Dell Hanna, 76 A service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church for Dell Hanna, 76, Durant, who died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at her residence. The Rev. Darel Bunch will officiate. She was born Wednesday, April 20, 1927, in Atoka, to Jack and Allie (Burgess) Bowman. She married Sam B. Hanna, April 30, 1948, in Carlsbad, N.M. She passed on to heaven on Thanksgiving Day, which fit her character perfectly. She was a devoted Christian and always pointing out things for others to be thankful for. Her unconditional childlike trust attracted hundreds of children. Her teaching and guidance built solid moral character for those children later in years. There would be at least one come back for a visit each to thank her for her guidance. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts and reading. She also enjoyed working with little children. She volunteered for the Head Start program. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery with pallbearers Gene West, Mike Green, Ken Golden, Leroy Gaither, Charley Williamson, Durwood Cook and Sean Pierce. Family hour is 3-4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
