Haynes, 81 Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Ada, for Hayden C. Haynes, 81, Broken Bow, who died Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at a Dallas hospital. The Rev. David Sharp will officiate. Mr. Haynes was born April, 29, 1918, near Kusa to Henry Powell Haynes and Rose Violet Patterson Haynes. He graduated from Seminole High School in 1934 and attended Seminole Junior College and East Central University, graduating from ECU in 1950. He served as a glider pilot in the U.S. Army during World War II and was later in the Air Force Reserve. He was a businessman who became Pontotoc County civil defense director and state civil defense director from 1975-1980. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Family visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home, Ada. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, 6465 S.
