Howington, 57, Durant, who died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. =============== Tuesday, August 19, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Carol Gene Howington, 57 A service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Silo Baptist Church for Carol Gene Howington, 57, Durant, who died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. The Revs. Buddy Johnson and Joe Dee Ray will officiate. She was born Feb. 19, 1946, in Pottstown, Penn., to Carl Fredrick and Jurdenia Jewel (Henderson) Geisler. She graduated from Slidell High School in Slidell, La. She went to Northwest State University in Natchitoches, La. She was married to David Howington. She came to Oklahoma in 1980 from New Braunfels, Texas. She was the executive accounting manager for Dr. Braulio Cuesta and a member of Silo Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by friends and family. She is survived by her husband of the home; parents Carl and Jerry Geisler, Denison, Texas; daughters Lisa Karen Stearns, Durant, and Shelly stone and husband Paul, Muskogee, brothers Joe Geisler and wife Vicki, Whitesboro, Texas, and Carl Fredrick Geisler Jr., Columbus, Texas; best friend Debbie Dunaway, Durant; grandchildren Jonathan Hammond, Zane and Daniel Babb, Katy Jo Howington, Mary, Seth and Emma Carol Stone; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Sherman, Texas, will pallbearers Wendell Peoples, David Wayne Henderson, Jay Cuesta, Dr. Paul Stone, Jason Geisler, J.R. Geisler and Bo Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Gray and Timothy Gibson. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
