All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Rose Hill Cemetery--Calera OK Durant Daily Democrat 17 Mar 2005 Marrion Faye Hyer, 81 A service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Coffey-Murray Chapel for Marrion Faye Hyer, 81, Eufaula, formerly of Calera, who passed away Sunday, March 13, 2005, in Eufaula. Rev. Dan McLemore will officiate. The daughter of Herschel and Mossie Jane (Jones) Ash, she was born Monday, Jan. 21, 1924, in Goree, Texas. She married Roy Hyer Sept. 15, 1938, in Wolfe Creek. She was a member of the New Life Assembly of God Church in Calera. She loved to sew, cook, can and garden. She was a woman of good character. She was preceded in death by her husband June 13, 1997, brother Kenny Ash, sister Dorothy Leeper and grandson Brett Porter. She is survived by son Arvel Hyer, Eufaula; daughters Phyllis Ann Porter and husband Dale, Ozark, Mo., and Belinda Jane Tyler and husband John, Salinas, Calif.; brothers Ruel Ash and wife Laverne, Dodge City, Texas, and Jim Ash and wife Midge, Lincoln, Ark.; sisters Rita McIntyre and husband Larry, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Ruby Hyer, Hemet, Calif.; grandsons Brian Hyer and wife Susan, Doug Hyer and wife Jennifer, Jason Tyler and Ed Porter and wife Linda; granddaughters Julie Rose and husband Roddy, Cheryl Pawling and husband Eric and Laurie Tyler. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Calera, with Brian Hyer, Doug Hyer, Jason Hyer, Mark Hyer, Roddy Rose and Dale Porter serving as pallbearers. Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
