Harrison, 80, of Amarillo, died Friday, May 23, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with the Rev. Tommy Ewing, pastor of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Rick Rice, pastor of Bykota Southern Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Harrison was born in Bryan County, Okla. He had lived in Amarillo since 1958. He served in the Army during World War II. He worked in the inspection department at the Pantex Plant prior to retirement. He was a Baptist. He married Mary Cherpitel in 1942 at Salinas, Calif. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Larry Harrison and Michael Harrison, both of Amarillo; a brother, Clyne Harrison of Durant, Okla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boy's Ranch. P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, Texas 79174-0001.
