Sunday, August 17, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Bernice Ruth Hart, 73 A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rosehill Cemetery, Calera, for Bernice Ruth Hart, 73, Durant, who died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, in Durant. The Rev. Van Newton will officiate. She was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Santa Anna, Texas, to Charles J. and Viola Horseman Hart. She was a member of the Calera First Baptist Church, and worked at Sheltered Workshop for five years. She enjoyed playing bingo at the nursing home as well as playing dominoes and crafting ceramics. Most of all, she loved people. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Nelda Dunn; brother Buck Hart, and step sister Undine McWilliams. She is survived by her brother Charles Hart, Durant; sisters LaVerne Fralicks and husband Joe, Colbert, and Sue Baker, Garland, Texas, and special friends at Unity Hospice. Her nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
