All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Democrat Vivian Elizabeth Howard, 94 Vivian Elizabeth Howard, 94, Calera, passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at her residence in Calera. She was Born Nov. 11, 1910, in Woodville to the late Will and Laura McCuan French. She was raised in Woodville, and in 1941, she moved to Calera, where she lived the rest of her life. Vivian married Bryan Howard Sept. 19, 1929, in Marietta. He preceded her in death March 8, 1991. Vivian was a member of the Calera Church of Christ. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Cathryn Howard, four brothers, George, Dean, Roland and Noland French, and two sisters, Clarice Van and Bennie Hawkins. She is survived by son Bill Howard, Fort Worth, Texas; daughters and sons- in-law Jennie Lynn McGee, Albany, Joy and Bill Vaden, Calera, Laura Jane Snow, Hendrix, Merry Bryan and Jon Heindselman, Calera, and Carolyn and George Tarr, McAlester; 11 grandchildren, Pam and Jim Parrish, Calera, Liz and Jerry Jones, Durant, Karen Hughes, Calera, Joe and Carol McGee, Albany, Jim and Sherrie McGee, Bokchito, Gred Haddock, Fort Worth, Mark and Julie Heindselman, New Jersey, Bryan Heindselman, Edmond, Kristi and Gary Harris, Fort Worth, Brent and Tiffany Tarr, Irving, Texas, and Karra and Jack Hodge, Muskogee; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren; brother William French, Hutchinson, Kan.; and sisters Aline Dillow, Kingston, and Trevelyn McElheny, Kingston. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Watts Funeral Home, Kingston. David Dillow will officiate. Music will be arranged by Lindsey French. Interment will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery, Calera, will casket bearers Joe McGee, Jim McGee, Bryan Heindselman, Greg Haddock, Brent Tarr, Jason Simpson, Jeff Hughes and Tip E. Jones II. Honorary bearers will be Bill Vaden, Jon Heindselman, George Tarr and Mark Heindselman.
