All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Jackson Cemetery--Bryan County OK Durant Democrat 10 Nov 2004 Beatrice Harrington, 82 A service wil be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the former First Pentecostal Church on Texas Street in Durant for Beatrice Harrington, 82, Durant, who died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. Rev. Freddy Waldrep will officiate. The daughter of Joseph and Laura A. (Church) Rushing, she was born in Bennington Aug. 13, 1922. She married Burl James Harrington Sept. 10, 1937 in Durant. A lifelong resident of Bryan County, she was a homemaker who enjoyed going to church and church functions. She loved watching birds and kids. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Lonzo Rushing; sister Tincy Coletti; sons Lonnie, Charles and Larry Harrington; and daughters Louellen and Evelyn Harrington. She is survived by her husband of the home; sons Kenneth Harrington, Durant, Curtis Harrington, Whitewright, Texas, Jerry Harrington, Durant; daughters Gaylene Wadkins, Bakersfield, Calif., Elizabeth Toone, Durant; brothers Hurshel Rushing, Williams, Calif., Phil Rushing, Bakersfield, James Rushing, Bakersfield; sister Lillie Mae Harrington, Bakersfield; 18 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery with James Harrington Sr., James Harrington Jr., Charles Harrington, Joey Harrington, William Toone, Charles Toone, Matthew Toone and Larry Harrington Jr. serving as pallbearers. Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
