All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Frederick Memorial Cemetery--Frederick OK Lawton Constitution 23 Apr 2003 James Jeffcoat Funeral for James Wesley Nelson Jeffcoat, 80, Frederick, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Frederick Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Grant Newton, pastor, and the Rev. Jimmy Chandler, pastor, Lighthouse Chapel, officiating. Mr. Jeffcoat died Monday, April 21, 2003. Burial with military honors will be at Frederick Memorial Cemetery under direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home. He was born Aug. 30, 1922, in Utica, to Henry Elijah and Julia Ellen Thompson Jeffcoat. He enrolled as a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps from Oct. 18, 1940, to March 31, 1941. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on Aug. 5, 1942, and served during World War II. He was honorably discharged on July 3, 1943. He married Alline Inez Warnoch Jan. 3, 1948, in Frederick. He worked in Mabry's Bakery. He became an ordained minister in 1952, and spent the next 30 years pastoring Pentecostal Holiness churches in Western Oklahoma and Texas, including at Apache, Mt. Zion, Cheyenne, Hinton, Woodward, Cordell, Elk City, Eldorado, Wichita Falls and Frederick. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, and the Disabled American Veterans Post No. 89. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law: Charles Wesley and Julie Jeffcoat, Oklahoma City; and David Nelson and Brenda Jeffcoat, Frederick; two daughters: Rebekah Alline Boone, Justin, Texas; and Naomi Ruth Williams, Oklahoma City; four brothers: Halton Jeffcoat, Frederick; Clarence Jeffcoat, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Claburn Jeffcoat, Grandfield; and Joseph Jeffcoat, Waco, Texas; a sister, Tempe Smith, Santa Paula, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.
