Durant Daily Democrat Tuesday, January 20, 2004 Theo Jestis, 84 A service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Chapel for Theo Jestis, 84, Durant, who died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at King’s Daughters and Sons Nursing Home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home. ================== Durant Daily Democrat Wednesday, January 21, 2004 Theo Jestis, 84 A service will be 2:30 p.m. today at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home Chapel for Theo Jestis, 84, Durant, who died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at King’s Daughters and Sons Nursing Home. The Revs. Carrell Hooper, Brian Sterbenz and Jody Shires will officiate. The daughter of Dan P. and Lillie (Sorrell) Wedge, she was born Tuesday, July 22, 1919, in Durant. A lifelong resident of Bryan County, Mrs. Jestis was a homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church in Armstrong. She loved reading, cooking and writing poems. She married Carl Jestis July 20, 1935, in Durant. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, infant son Travis Carl Jestis; son-in-law Ed Goss and sisters Altha Jones and Nelsene Rider. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery with Karl D. Jestis, Curtis Turner, Floyd White, Lee Levins, Olen Jestis, Jimmy Jestis, Terry Rider, Danny Jestis and Doyle Jestis serving as pallbearers.
