The Rev. Kerry Groce will officiate. Mead retired from the U. S. Postal Service after serving as postmaster for Mead for more than 30 years. He was born Sunday, June 12, 1911 in Mead to Thomas Marion and Loella Elizabeth (Heflin) James. He served in the U. S. Army, was a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and a lifelong resident of Bryan County. Burial will be in Mead Cemetery. Murray Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
