Joines, 70 A service for Orel J. Joines, 70, Caddo, who died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, in Durant, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Caddo First Church of the Nazarene. Dr. J.K. Warrick, Rev. Allen Hughes and Rev. Clifford Joines will officiate. He was born Saturday, March 3, 1934, in Caddo to John Harrison and Josie Bell (Dollar) Joines. He married Sara Pierce Nov. 5, 1954, in McAlester. He worked at Sooner Petroleum for 15 years. He loved picking up pecans, farming, working with cows and driving the tractor. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, and his church family. He served his country in the United States Army in Korea. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Paul Joines and William T. Joines and sisters Faye Warrick and Claudine Warrick. He is survived by his wife, of the home; son Kevin Joines, Oklahoma City; daughter Christie Combs, Whitesboro, Texas; brother Johnny Ray Joines, Caddo; sisters Nina Witherspoon, Hurst, Texas, Ilene Joines, Caddo, and Ila Mae Thornton, Dallas, Texas; grandson Adam Barnes, Whitesboro; granddaughters Ashley Barnes, Whitesboro, Alexandra Combs, Whitesboro, and Lindsey Joines, Durant; great-granddaughter Emma Christian, Whitesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Caddo, with Joe Joines, John Thornton, David Witherspoon, Billy Witherspoon, Clinton Witherspoon and Maxey Rowland serving as pallbearers. Family hour will be from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Caddo First Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 66, Caddo, OK, 74729.
