Eldon A. Jones

BORGER - Eldon A. Jones, 63, died Sunday, July 19, 1998.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Gateway Baptist Church with the Rev. 
James Berry, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, and Joe Janeway officiating. 
Burial will be in the Garden of Serenity in Westlawn Memorial 
Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Jones was born in Bryan County, Okla. He served with the Marines from 
1952 until 1955 and moved to Borger in 1958 from Camp Pendleton, Calif. He 
moved from Borger in 1984 and returned in 1990.

In 1991, Mr. Jones retired as a supervisor from Phillips Petroleum Co. He 
was a member of Gateway Baptist Church.

He married Nell Black in 1954 at Durant, Okla.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy Jones of Borger; a daughter, 
Nelda Chester of Borger; and four granddaughters.

The family will be at 114 Garrett.
