All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 21 Dec 2004 David Houston Johnson, 78 A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Cemetery, Achille, for David Houston Johnson, 78, Cartwright, who died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, in Durant. Rev. Frank Reyna will officiate. He was born July 31, 1926, in Yarnaby to George Johnson and Nancy (Brown) Cameron. He was a member of the Pentecostal faith. He loved to fish, work in the garden and be around family and friends. He was a rancher and he served in the United States Armed Forces during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Johnny Johnson, brother James Nolan Johnson and sister Annie Bunch. He is survived by longtime companion Missie Jones of Cartwright; sons David Johnson and wife Gail, Forney, Texas, Jim Johnson and wife Cindy, Forney, Ralph Johnson and wife Denise, Garland, Texas, and Randy Johnson, Raliegh, N.C.; daughters Ellen Welch and husband John, Elmo, Texas, Judy Bailey and husband James, Scroggins, Texas, and Brenda Matlock and husband Bob, Waxahachie, Texas; 24 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
