Monday, August 25, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Marion Vallo Keck, 81 A service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Kingston Church of Christ for Marion Vallo Keck, 81, Willis, who died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003 at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma, Durant. Chris Webb and Darvin and Benny Keck will officiate. Music will be arranged by Cade and Cali Webb and Roscoe Pardue. He was born Oct. 7, 1921, in Boswell, to George Washington and Jewell Pardue Keck. He was raised in Brownsville and later moved to Lark. He graduated from Kingston High School in 1939 and was a member of the Kingston Alumni Association. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He lived Euless, Texas, before moving back to the Kingston area in 1969. He married Virginia Pauline Erwin June 30, 1973, in Willis. He worked as an airplane mechanic at several Air Force bases in Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma. He also worked as a cowboy and minister, serving at Willis, Achille, Kemp, Colbert and Bokchito Churches of Christ for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife on Oct. 17, 1996. Burial will be in Willis Cemetery with pallbearers Ray Keck, Cecil Keck, George Keck, Ray Keck II, Jeff Keck, Travis Beavers, Benny Keck and Darvin Keck. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold O’Steen, Norman Hamitlon, Roscoe Pardue and R. L. Lemons. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post No. 99 and VFW Post No. 4611.
