King, 80, Blue, who died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at her residence. ========== Sunday, November 16, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Florence King, 80 A service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel for Florence F. Ellis Thimmons Henson King, 80, Blue, who died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at her residence. The Rev. Jack Ball and Don Burkhead will officiate. She was born Nov. 5, 1923, in Connerville, to R. P. ‘Bud’ and Mary Lillie (Pittmon) Ellis. She attended schools in Coatsworth and worked as a seamstress in Southern Oklahoma and Northern Texas. She was the wife of William Hollis Timmons, Dave Henson, and Floyd King, who all preceded her in death. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and attending church. She was a member of the Roff Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she served as secretary, treasurer, and lead singer. She had attended and been actively involved with the Pentecostal, Assembly of God, and Church of God churches in the various places that she lived during her lifetime. She will be greatly missed by many. She was preceded in death by her parents; baby daughter Julie Timmons; husbands Dave, Hollis, and Floyd; brothers Jasper Ellis, Herbert Ellis, Floyd Ellis, and Arie Wisdom; sisters Chassie LaRock, Mary Miller, and Mae Rowe. Burial will be in the Connerville Cemetery with William ‘Billy’ Harris, Stephen Harris, Aaron Black, Art Timmons, Jeffery Timmons, and John Shaw serving as pallbearers. Family hour 6-8 p.m. today at her residence.
