Dorothy Jean Kirkpatrick, 66

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mead Baptist 
Church for Dorothy Jean Kirkpatrick, 66, of Durant. The Rev. Kerry 
Groce will officiate. Mrs. Kirkpatrick died Saturday, April 17, 1999, 
at her Durant residence.

The daughter of George and Mary Lucille Gamble Howard, she was born 
on Aug. 20, 1932, in Woodville. She grew up in Bonham, Texas, and had 
lived in Denison and Sherman. She has been a Durant resident for the 
past 20 years. She was of the Baptist faith and worked in the restaurant 
business. 

She was preceded in death by her father George Howard in 1960, grandson 
William McKinney and great-grandson Dustin Jackson.  

Burial will be in the Hainline Cemetery under the direction of Watts 
Funeral Home in Kingston.
