All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lofland, Ethel Irene 1915 - 2005 Ethel Irene Lofland, 90, died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, in Hurst. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Norma Quinn officiating. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to charity of choice. Ethel was born March 6, 1915, in Durant, Okla. She graduated from Texas Tech with a home economics degree. Ethel and her husband, Raymond, co- founded Richland Bowl, which became a favorite community gathering spot. She was a bowler, an avid fisherman (a crappie catcher deluxe) and an enthusiastic card player. In her recent years, she spent her time at Parkwood Retirement Center enjoying her good friends. Ethel was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She was especially proud of her sons. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Raymond S. Lofland, and a son, Larry D. Lofland. Survivors: Son, Gerald and wife, Elaine Lofland, of Colleyville; son, Richard Lofland of Bedford; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Woernley of Morro Bay, Calif.
