Lillie Lavinder

MORTON - Lillie Lavinder, 83, died Tuesday, June 10, 1997.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the 
Rev. Gordon Renshaw, pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church, 
officiating. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Lavinder was born in Mountain View, Okla. She married Charlie Albert 
Lavinder in 1928 at Sanger. He died in 1989. She also was preceded in 
death by a daughter, Louvita Williams, in 1979.

She had lived in the Morton area since 1933, moving from Durant, Okla. She 
was a homemaker and a member of First Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Cal Lavinder and Bobby Lee Lavinder, both of 
Irving, William Lavinder of Morton and Leonard Lavinder of Lubbock; two 
daughters, Edna Baker of Morton and Imojean Woods of Dallas; a sister, 
Nola Cauvey of Rindale, Calif.; 35 grandchildren; and 29 great-
grandchildren.
