All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Thursday, August 7, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Robert 'Trouble' Lewis, 66 A service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Grace Indian Baptist Church, Achille, for Robert 'Trouble' Lewis, 66, Durant, who died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, at Southern Pointe Living Center, Colbert. The Rev. Dan McLemore will officiate. He was born Wednesday, July 21, 1937, in Ardmore, to Edward and Lucy (Allen) Lewis. He married Bertha Jean White. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member and service worker for the Choctaw Nation and a member of Grace Indian Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Lisa F. Lewis; and brothers Allen Folsom, Raymond Lewis, James Tom and Samson Scott. He is survived by his wife of the home; daughter LacQuita Lewis, Ada; sons Leon Love, Platter, and Kenneth Lewis and wife Dorothy, Colbert; sisters Margaret Tenequer, Atoka, Hilda Murphy, Dallas, Texas and Ruth Coley, Ardmore; brother Charles Lewis, Durant; 11 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, many other family members and friends. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Achille, with pallbearers Daryl Russell, Freddie Henderson, Jay Garrett, Christopher Ecklund, Billy Lewis and Brandon Lewis. Family hour is 6-8 p.m. today at Grace Indian Baptist Church.
