Durant Daily Democrat Thursday, December 18, 2003 James Lewis Loyd, 59 A memorial service was at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel for James Lewis Loyd, 59, Hominy, who died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, in Hominy. The Rev. Charles Loyd officiated. He was born April 19, 1944, in Roberta, to Roy Verlon and Opal (Jernigan) Loyd. He attended Roberta schools and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He lived in Bryan County all his life, was a member of the Elks Club, and was of the Baptist faith. He was an electrician with Charles Electric and had many hobbies, including music, and was talented at writing songs. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
