'Granny' Hodges Lanpher, 72 Services for LaDonna R. "Granny" Hodges Lanpher, 72, Durant, who passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2004, in Denison, will be held Friday, November 19, at Brown's Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Sammy Vaughn will officiate. LaDonna was born in McGee, Mo., October 21, 1932, to G.W. "Will" and Emma Josephine (McGee) Kimmel. LaDonna moved to Oklahoma in 1971 from Cleaveland. She was a houseparent at Bryan Co. Juvenile Services. LaDonna married Bobby Eudell Hodges in December 1966 in Houston, Texas. She was of the Baptist faith. LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Ed Kimmel and George Kimmel; and sister Imogene Adams. She is survived by her daughter Amy and her husband Darrell McBridge of Caddo; daughter Edwina and her husband Jeff Miller of Bells, Texas; grandson Lucas and his wife Laci Hunt of Durant; granddaughter Tori and her husband Rick Stevens of Okmulgee; grandchildren Stephanie Hankins of Howe, Texas, Tiffany, Laci and Bobby Hankins, all of Bells; great-granddaughter Stormie Jade Hunt of Tahlequah; sister Wanda Whiter of Waterford, Mich.; and brothers Keith and his wife Pat Kimmel of Advance, Mo., and Grover Kimmel of Bella Vista, Ark. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Durant, with Stanley Hopkins, Gerald Nichols, James Wiskus, Shawn Cobb, Lee Hankins, and Wayne Gerlach serving as pallbearers. Family hour will be Thursday, November 18, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
