Thursday, December 4, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Twanna Bell Laymon, 74 Services are pending with Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home for Twanna Bell Laymon, 74, Bennington, who died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. =============== Friday, December 5, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Twanna Bell Laymon, 74 A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Chapel for Twanna Bell Laymon, 74, Bennington, who died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma, Durant. The Rev. Phillip Rowland will officiate. She was born Tuesday, Sept. 17, 1929, in Kenefic, to James Garfield and Alice Louise (Harbor) Bell. She married Warren Laymon Feb. 24, 1948, in Durant. She was born in Kenefic, raised in Blue and later moved to Banty, where she graduated high school. She worked as a bookkeeper for Durant Bank and Trust (now First United Bank) 20 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Faith Baptist Church, Bokchito. She enjoyed making quilts, painting flowers and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Harold Bell. Burial will be in Bokchito Cemetery with pallbearers Amos McCann, Paul Neal, Dean Phillips, Jimmy Dill, Joe Robinson and B.J. Phillips. Family hour is 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
