Larson, 76, Guymon, who died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004 in Amarillo, Texas. =========== Durant Daily Democrat Friday, February 13, 2004 L. E. Larson, Jr., 76 Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the 7th and Beech Street Church of Christ, for L. E. Larson, Jr., 76, Guymon, who died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, in Amarillo, Texas. Minister Van Newton will officiate. Larson was born Oct. 4, 1927, in Bennington, to Leonard Emmitt "L. E. Sr." and Annie Alberta Larson. Larson graduated from Cordell High School in 1945. He enlisted in the United States Army and served much of his 22-year career in Germany. After retiring from the Army, he and his family moved to Durant, where they lived several years before moving to Guymon, where his parents and two of his siblings lived. He worked for Hitch Feeders for 18 years before retiring a second time. Larson was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jean Larson; parents; son Allen Wayne Larson, and brother Arley Dean Larson. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery with pallbearers will be John Curtis, Carol Roberts, Sid Lewis, John Robinson, J.D. Culbreath and Dale Goad. Family hour is 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to caregivers at the Guymon Memorial Hospital, BSA Hospital, and Amarillo Area Hospice Operation and for the prayer warriors who were there when they were needed most.
