All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Mayfield, Edith Mae Edith Mae Mayfield born 8/29/1912 in Colbert, OK passed away at her home in Oklahoma City Jan. 15, 2004 with her family at her bedside. She was preceded in death by her husband Carlton Mayfield. Edith is survived by her brother Earl Potter of Grand Prairie TX, her loving daughter Joyce Cantrell, three sons, Thurman and wife Mary, Ray and wife Kathy and Gary Mayfield all of Oklahoma City. Edith has 9 grandchildren. 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Edith retired from the Oklahoma City Board of Education/Central Food Service where she served as cafeteria manager. Edith loved working and continued to work at Integris Southwest Medical Center until the age of 86. She was a member of Exchange Avenue Baptist Church. She loved her family and loved cooking for them. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the Crossroads Hospice for the loving care they gave during her illness. Service 10:00 AM Monday in the Rosewood Chapel of Branstetter-Merritt Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
