A.C. McDavitt

A.C. "Tucky" McDavitt, 87, of Amarillo, died Thursday, April 23, 1998, in 
Decatur, Ga.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fairview Cemetery in 
Memphis with the Rev. C. Scott Greer, youth minister at Paramount Terrace 
Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers 
Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.

Mr. McDavitt was born in Rock Field, Ky. He was the retired owner and 
operator of Tucky's Auto Service in Plainview. He was a member of 
Paramount Terrace Christian Church.

He married C.J. Goodnight in 1930 at Durant, Okla. She died in 1993. He 
married Elva Richards in 1994.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jo Carroll Barbee of Amarillo; a 
son, Pat Arnold McDavitt of Austin; two halfbrothers, Julian McDavitt of 
Santa Rosa, Calif., and Carroll McDavitt of Middleburg, Fla.; three 
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will be at 1031 Pryor and 1408 W. 35th Ave. They request 
memorials in lieu of flowers be to the American Heart Association, 2404 W. 
Seventh Ave., Amarillo, Texas 79106.
