Rev. James Robinson and Rev. Ross Kirven will officiate. Geraldine was born to Loady L. and Maud Hull in Bokchito, Sept. 3, 1916. She lived fully and joyously with her husband Raymond in Durant for their married life of 58 years until Raymond's death in 2000. First attending Goodland Indian Orphanage, a Presbyterian Mission Boarding school for Choctaws, Jerry went on to graduate from Durant High School and attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University for two years when she then began working for the federal government. During World War II, Jerry's duty took her to Washington, D.C. where she worked at the Pentagon. After the war, Jerry worked with her husband Raymond at their restaurants-the Eat N Ease, the T.C. Lunch Room and the White House Café. During those years, Jerry also worked actively with Blue Birds and Camp Fire Girls. At the McKinney home on West Evergreen, Jerry hosted slumber parties for her daughters and car washes to raise funds for the senior high school. After Jerry and Raymond retired from the restaurant, Jerry turned to community service. A lifelong Democrat, Jerry belonged to the Federation of Democratic Women of Bryan County, holding various offices and traveling to Washington where she met President Jimmy Carter. Jerry also enjoyed being a member of the Ohoyohoma Club for many years. Being proud and aware of her Choctaw heritage, Jerry focused her considerable talents to serve the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, acting variously as voter registrar, district election chairperson, member and later President of the Health Board. During her years on the Choctaw Health Board, the Choctaw Hospital in Talihina was developed and completed. During Durant's first Magnolia Festival, Jerry and Raymond were feted as Belle and Beau. Jerry is survived by one sister, Beatrice Harrison of San Diego, California, and one sister-in-law, Opal Heard of Durant; daughters Nikita and husband Dr. Jay Williams of Durant, Dr.'s Terri and husband Tom Baker of Tahlequah and Scotti McKinney Doraty of Durant; granddaughters Laura Williams Thomas and husband Tate of Denison, Texas, Dr.'s Jennifer Williams Whitfield and husband Conrad of Argyle, New York, Bethany Doraty Bullard and husband Blake of Yukon; grandson Charles McKinney Baker of Tahlequah; and six great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Luke, Seth and Canaan Thomas and Raven and Cutter Whitfield.
