Survivors omitted. Wednesday, November 5, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Tom J. McRorey, Ph.D., 68 A service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Shawnee for Dr. Tom J. McRorey, Ph.D., 68, Shawnee, who died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at Unity North. Art Scrutchins will officiate. The son of the Rev. and Mrs. H.D. McRorey, he was born Oct. 10, 1935, in Dallas, Texas. After serving in the navy, he obtained his B.A. at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and continued on to earn a Masters and his Doctorate at the University of Oklahoma. Over the course of his career, he was a professor at SOSU, the director of the NASA ‘KIAC’ program at SOSU, the dean and chair of the school of business at the University of Arkansas, Monticello, and the vice president of fiscal affairs at Carl Albert State College in Poteau. He married his wife, Audrey on Oct. 28, 1961. A Paul Harris Fellow, he was a devout Rotarian and a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Shawnee. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother.
