All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Sunday, August 3, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Phyllis Ruth Motley Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Fairview Baptist Church, Sherman, Texas, for Phyllis Ruth Motley, Sherman, who died Friday, August 1, 2003, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center. The Rev. Lance Price will officiate. She was born in Pittsburg, the third of four children, to Dewey and Gladys Fry Loper. She was married to the love of her life, Coy Motley, Aug. 14, 1948, at the First Baptist Church in Durant. She was a homemaker who loved taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and loved her church and Sunday school. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of the home; sons Wayne Motley and wife Beth, Dallas, Texas, Phillip Motley and wife Debbie, Lakehills, Texas, and Michael Motley, Garland, Texas; grandchildren Amy Elizabeth, Lakehills, and Jake and Tyler, both of Garland; brother Bob Loper, Florida; sisters Cherri Dohlin, Oslo, Norway, and Joyce Gades, Lincoln, Neb. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Durant, with pallbearers Matt Willeford, Glenn Melancon, H.G. Bateman, Dennis Garland, Kenneth Harvey and Charles Huffman. She will lie in state at the funeral home 2-5 p.m. today.
