All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 3 Mar 2000 Flossie (Davis) Madding, 94 Services are pending with Coffey Funeral Home for Flossie Madding, 94, former Durant resident, who died today in Sherman, Texas. ============ Durant Daily Democrat 4 Mar 2000 Flossie Viola (Davis) Madding, 94 Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Assembly of God, Durant, for Flossie Viola Madding, 94, Sherman, Texas. The Revs. Ross Davis, Ricky Ring and Dalton Jaco will officiate. Flossie Viola Davis was born Dec. 19, 1905, to Thomas Davis and Beulah (Busby) Davis in Wylie, Texas. On Oct. 20, 1922, she married Henry Madding in Bennington. She worked at Oakridge Manor Nursing Home, Durant, for 13 years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Durant, and was involved in church work. She had lived in Sherman since 1989 with niece Jean Ring. She went home to be with the Lord March 2, 2000, and will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Madding was preceded in death by her husband April 9, 1983; parents; brother, Homer Davis, and sisters, Lucille Henderson, Virgie Hampton and Jewell Sanders. She is survived by her nieces, Jean Ring, Sherman, and Lois Morgan, Denison, Texas; numerous great-nieces and nephews, and a host of friends in Durant.
