All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 24 Jan 2005 Marie Marlow, 79 A home-going celebration for Marie Marlow, 79, Bokchito, will be held in the Faith Baptist Church, Bokchito, Oklahoma, Tuesday, January 25, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. The Revs. Roddy Arnold and Bob McClain will officiate. Marie was born August 30, 1925, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Aussie Jeffreys and Clara Bell (Knight) Jeffreys. She attended schools in the Bokchito area. Marie was retired from Sears. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Marie was married to Glen Marlow on April 6, 1991, in Bokchito, Oklahoma. She loved to raise flowers, work in the garden and be with her family, especially the grandchildren. She was an active member of the Reynolds Chapel Baptist Church. Marie will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Aussie and Clara Jeffreys; daughter Cheryl Jean (Cookie); 1st husband C.D. Nowell; brothers Boss Jeffreys; and sisters Nannie and Ruby Jeffreys. She is survived by her husband Glen of the home; son David Nowell of Bokchito, Oklahoma; grandchildren Andrea Hall, Kristen Nowell, and Kaylea Nowell; daughter Melinda Nowell of Garland, Texas; brother Judge Jeffreys of Bokchito, Oklahoma; stepdaughters LaDonna Taylor of Madera, California, Sharry Anderson of Plano, Texas, Pam Albright and Lina Helton and husband Donnie of Merced, California; special nephew Jimmy Jeffreys; many other relatives and a host of friends. Interment will be in the Bokchito Cemetery with Doug Deal, Raymond Jesse, Raymond Haddix, Burke Hall, J.E. "Boots" Wiley, Paul Neal, Bob Heurtevant, and Steve Ammons serving as pallbearers. Family hour will be Monday, January 24, 2005, from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at brownsfs@sbcglobal.net.
