All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Wednesday, August 6, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Carol Ann Nichols, 49 A service will be atg 10 a.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home, Lake Worth, Texas, for Carol Ann Nichols, 49, Azle, Texas, who died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, at a Fort Worth, Texas, hospital. She was born July 19, 1954, in St. Louis, Mo. She was a 1998 graduate of Texas Women's University and was a fifth-grade teacher at Joy James Elementary School in Fort Worth. She loved teaching and was recognized by the Fort Worth Star Telegram as the Tarrant County Teacher of the Year. She loved the children she taught and the faculty she worked with and considered them her second family. Survivors include her husband Carl E. Nichols, Azle; son John Wesley Nichols, Fort Worth; stepson Carl E Nichols Jr., Houston, Texas; mother Jo-Ann Keith, McAlester; stepmother Ruth Keith, Clint, Mo., and grandchildren Brittany, Stacy and Preston Nichols. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Highland Cemetery, Durant, with Pastor Durlin LeJeune officiating. Family visitation is 7-9 p.m. today at Biggers Funeral Home.
