All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Bokchito Cemetery--Bokchito OK Durant Democrat 8 Nov 2004 Stella Mae (Jeffreys) Nichols, 1927-2004 Funeral services for Stella Mae (Jeffreys) Nichols, 77, of Fort Gibson, OK, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 8, 2004, at the First Baptist Church in Bokchito, Oklahoma, with Reverend Dwayne Thompson and Revered Anthony Williams officiating. Pallbearers will be her sons, Roger Nichols, Randall Nichols, and Kevin Nichols; grandsons, Jeffrey Nichols, Steve Whitworth, and Tracy Riner. Burial will be in Bokchito Cemetery under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Fort Gibson. Mrs. Nichols was born May 29, 1927, in Blue, Oklahoma, the daughter of Frank D. Jeffreys and Lula Mae Compton Jeffreys. Stella loved all people and loved her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She crocheted and knitted and loved growing flowers and vegetables and having a lovely yard. She was a past member of the volunteer group at the Durant hospital. Stella was a member of the Foreign Wars Auxilary 10636 at Bokchito. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Gibson. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.R. Nichols; parents, Frank and Lula Mae Jeffreys; two sisters, Ruby and Lima Lee Jeffreys; one son, Claude Daniel Nichols; and one granddaughter, Christy Lynn Whitworth. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Franklin "Sonny" and Helen Jeffreys of Caney, OK; four children, Roger and Cathy Nichols of Grand Prairie, TX; Randall and Vickie Nichols of Bokchito, OK; Kevin and Julie Nichols of North Little Rock, AR; a daughter, Kathy and husband Danny Whitworth of Fort Gibson, OK; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Bryan County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/bryan/bryan.htm
