Survivors omitted. Durant Daily Democrat Tuesday, December 30, 2003 Loftus Noel Nunley, 83 The Rev. Loftus Noel Nunley, 83, Denison, Texas, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center, Sherman, Texas. Rev. Nunley was reared in the Marlow area and graduated from Oklahoma State University, where he received a master of science degree in plant genetics. While at OSU, he received Christ into his heart as Savior. Shortly after receiving Christ, he felt led to preach and started a church near Duncan. While pastoring this church, he also attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, where he received master of religious education and master of divinity degrees. Rev. Nunley pastored churches in Oklahoma and Texas over a span of 43 years. He never retired from the ministry. His life was a living testimony of the love and power of Jesus Christ. He was an encouragement to many people. Rev. Nunley and Mrs. Lois Nunley were married 51 years. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Southside Baptist Church, 1131 S. Scullin Ave., Denison, with the Rev. Keith Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Mannsville Cemetery with pallbearers Jim Hudson, Raymond Brown, Gene Bedrick, Ronnie Riddle, Randy Anthony and Max Bryant. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
