All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 31 Aug 2005 Patsy Joy Norris, 62 Services for Patsy Joy Norris, 62, of Bennington, who passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday in the Chapel at Brown's Durant Funeral Service. Hank Anderson will officiate. Patsy was born May 17, 1943, in Caney to Melvin Floyd and Evie Adele (Smith) Head. Patsy was born and raised in southern Oklahoma, where she attended school at Caney. On February 4, 1969, she married Carrel Jay Norris at Lake Dallas. Patsy was a singer, and she worked in the food service industry; she was a restaurant owner. Her hobbies included her family, reading, cooking and gardening. She was of the Baptist faith and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Evie Head; four brothers, Lloyd Head, Doyle Head, Larry Head and Billy Head; and a great- grandson, Jacob Wilson. Survivors include her husband, Carrel Norris, Bennington; son, Steven Abreo and wife Teresa, Caddo; daughters, Wynona Williams, Brenda Lansdale, Retha Singleton and husband James, all of Bennington; daughter Jessica Millhouse and husband Louis, Caddo; 15 grandchildren and six great- grandchildren; sisters, Janice Stilest and husband Eugene, Lane, and Shirley Allen, Tushka; brothers Floy Head and wife Loretta, Caney, and Carrol Head and wife DeeDee; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many dear friends. Family hour is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Bokchito Cemetery with David Head, Tony Head, Gary Williams, Lewis Millhouse, Danny Hayes and James Wilson serving as pall bearers.
