Oxford, 69, Durant, who died Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. =========== Friday, August 1, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Bettye Sue Oxford, 69 A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Coffey-Murray Chapel for Bettye Sue Oxford, 69, Durant, who died Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas. The Rev. Josh Rowley will officiate. She was born Saturday, Oct. 28, 1933, in Tye to Joe and Thelma Louise (Ervin) Threet. She was married May 11, 1951, in Courtside, Ariz. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and loved working jigsaw puzzles, word searches and traveling. She will be remembered most for the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was retired from Northup Aero Tech. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Henry Clay Oxford, June 2, 1992; son Roy Dean Oxford; sisters Billie Jo Threet and Estelle Masters, and granddaughter Crystal Ann Oxford. She is survived by her sons Jimmie Lee Oxford Sr. and wife Yolanda and Kenneth Dale Oxford, all of Durant; daughter Barbara Ann Nagy and husband John, Durant; brother Johnny Threet, Durant; grandsons Bobby Kuykendall, Cass Lake, Minn., Jimmy Oxford, Andrew Oxford, Ian Oxford and Donavin Oxford, all of Durant; granddaughters Valorie Stanley and husband Vincent Wayne, Calera, Jennifer Brown, Reno, Nev., Luvenia Nagy, Durant, Stephanie Oxford, Missoula, Mont., Janell Oxford, Bakersfield, Calif., Shenowa Kuykendall, Minneapolis, Minn., and Kimberly Oxford, Durant; great- grandchildren Aaron Abbott, Calera, and Ashleigh Nagy, Durant. Family hour is 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pomona Valley Memorial Park in Pomona, Calif., with pallbearers Jim Oxford, Kenneth Oxford, John Nagy, Vincent Wayne Stanley, Johnny Threet and Karkit Leung.
