The Rev. Sam Allenbaugh will officiate. Mr. Peppers died Sunday, April 18, 1999, in Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. The son of William Dee and Roxie Pratt Peppers, he was born April 18, 1924, in Platter. A lifelong resident of Bryan County he attended Platter and Mead Schools and was of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II where he served in the Pacific Theater. He retired in 1985 from Pillsbury after 33 years employment. He was preceded in death by his father on Aug. 16, 1962, his mother on Nov. 9, 1983; sister Mary Lou McCollum on Jan. 16, 1972 and brother Clifton Peppers on Oct. 14, 1978. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery in Achille under the direction of Cunningham Funeral Home, Achille. Military graveside services will be performed by the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 3916 of Durant.
