Patterson, 91, a retired meat cutter and World War II veteran, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, in Arlington. Funeral: 1 p.m. Wednesday in Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Parkdale Cemetery. Visitation: was 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Jack, Jerry, James, Johnny and Joe Bob Patterson and Bill Joy. Memorials: charity of choice. Buel was born Jan. 26, 1914, in Bennington, Okla., to William Monroe Patterson and Vicy Evans-Patterson. He married Mildred Briggs on Dec. 17, 1934, in Bokchito, Okla. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Joyce Bridges and Julia Bray; a grandson; a great-grandson; a great-grandaughter; four brothers; and four sisters. Survivors: Wife, Mildred; sons and spouses, Jack and Gayle, Jerry and Bonnie, James and Cathy, Johnny and Rosalee, and Joe Bob and Jennifer; daughters and spouses, Joan and Bill Joy, Jeannie and Ben Treadway; Richard Bray; 19 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
