Family hour will be 6-7 p.m. Friday a the funeral home. Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ============== Durant Daily Democrat Friday, February 27, 2004 Raymond R. Phillips, 89 A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Highland Cemetery for Raymond R. Phillips, 89, Durant, who died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, at his residence. Jimmy Corley will officiate. He was born Monday, May 25, 1914, in Caney to Robert Richard and Jetta D. (Column) Phillips. He married Leona June 14, 1939, in Purcell. He was of the Baptist faith. He worked for the Katy Railroad for more than 19 years and for J.C. Potter’s for more than 24 years. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corporation and loved his vegetable gardening and working to make small items for his family. His greatest passion was being at home with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Jack Rambo, Mark Earles, Greg Phillips, Chris Earles, Mark Phillips and Jay Rambo. Family hour is 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
