All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm +========================================================================+ Sunday, October 26, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Luella Carlson Piercy, 95 Luella Carlson Piercy, 95, passed away in Kingman, Ariz., June 19, 2003. She was born to John and Lula Carlson Feb. 26, 1908, in Paris, Texas, and grew up in Soper. She lived for many years in Bokchito, where she operated a beauty shop. Later she earned a teaching certificate and a master's degree. She was a wonderful teacher in Oklahoma and California for more than 20 years. After she retired, she moved to Arizona and was engaged in building and selling homes. She was active until very late in her life and could tell a great story. She was preceded in death by her husband W. L. Piercy, sister Virgie Rossi and brother Ben Carlson.
