Parson Graveside service for Porter E. Parson, 61, Lawton, will be at 11 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bob Jones, pastor, Cameron Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Parson died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, in Lawton. Arrangements are by Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service. He was born Jan. 25, 1942 in Yarnaby to Willie Mae Harrison and Harvey Parson. He attended local schools and graduated from Lawton High School in 1960. He was employed in construction, and was a member of the Retired Service Club and Cameron Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons: Robin Parson and his wife, Cris, Winter Park, Fla.; and David Parson, Sioux City, Iowa; two brothers: Larry Parson and his wife, Cindy, Lady’s Island, S.C.; and Randy Parson, Lawton; a sister, Linda Capuccio and her husband, Mike; a brother-in-law, Billy Cole; three grandchildren: Caitlin and Carleigh Parson, Winter Park; and Max Parson, England; nieces and nephews: Michael Cole, Minneapolis; Melinda Dukes and her husband, Jason, and Jeremy Capuccio, all of Lawton; Jon Capuccio, Lubbock, Texas; Lacy and Chelsey Parson, Lady’s Island; Brandi and Amber Parson, Moore; and great-nephews: Dakota and Dalton Dukes, Lawton.
